【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandardprovidesameansforestimatingthelethaltoxicpotencyofthefireeffluentsproducedfromamaterialwhileexposedtothespecificcombustionconditionsofalaboratoryfiremodel.Thelethaltoxicpotencyvaluesarespecificallyrelatedtothefiremodelselected,theexposurescenarioandthematerialevaluated.2Lethaltoxicpotencyvaluesassociatedwith30-minexposuresofratsarepredictedusingcalculationswhichemploycombustionatmosphereanalyticaldataforcarbonmonoxide(CO),carbondioxide(CO2),oxygen(O2)(vitiation)and,ifpresent,hydrogencyanide(HCN),hydrogenchloride(HCl),hydrogenbromide(HBr)andothertoxicantswhichhavebeendemonstratedtobeappropriate.Ifthefireeffluenttoxicpotencycannotbeattributedtothetoxicantsanalyzed,thisisanindicationthatothertoxicantsorfactorsmustbeconsidered.3ThisInternationalStandardisintendedtobeusedtomeasureanddescribethetoxicpotencyoffireeffluentatmospheresproducedfrommaterials,productsorassembliesundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethetoxichazardorriskofmaterials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafirehazardassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.4ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices.
